In the Great Smoky Mountains there are 27 recored variaties of snake. Only two of those variaties of snake are poisonous. There is the copperhead and the timber rattlesnake. If you see any snake on your visit to the Great Smokey mountains cosider yourself lucky. Most snake by nature avoid human contact.
